CONCERNS are growing for a teenage girl who has not been seen since the weekend.

Annabelle Addison, 15, was last seen at 9pm on Saturday and was reported missing from her home in Scarborough at lunchtime the following day.

Although she has gone missing before she has previously returned home within 24 hours. She is considered vulnerable because of her age and it is believed she has no money or telephone.

Police enquiries suggest Annabelle left the resort on a train and is possibly in the company of boy her own age who she knows.

As well as North Yorkshire, she has links in the Leicester, Northampton, West Midlands and Merseyside areas.

Police forces in those areas, as well as British Transport Police, are assisting in the search.

In the meantime, officers are appealing for information and possible sightings of Annabelle to get in touch without delay.

She is described as of slim build, fair skinned, with very dark long straight hair that is usually scrunched up. She speaks with a southern accent.

When last seen she was wearing a blue jumper and a black jumper, pink Mini Mouse pyjama bottoms with grey jogging bottoms over the top, a black Superdry jacket and black and white Adidas trainers.

Anyone who can help should call North Yorkshire Police on 101. If outside North Yorkshire, pass information to the local police force for the urgent attention of North Yorkshire Police.
