A MAN who has played a string of memorable Dr Who baddies – from a mummy on a train to a Mondasian Cyberman – is to appear at a sci-fi festival in the region.
Actor Jamie Hill has an impressive array of alien baddies to his name, having played characters such as The Monk in recent episodes of Dr Who alongside Peter Capaldi.
He has also appeared as “The Foretold” in Mummy on the Orient Express, the Ice Warrior and was one of three actors to play The Silence in series six.
Now he is to appear at the Sci-Fi Scarborough (SFS) event taking place in the North Yorkshire resort on April 21 and 22 next year – where he will appear on the “scary monsters” panel.
Sci-Fi Scarborough is back for the fifth year at Scarborough Spa and will feature a mixture of authors, comic book artists and software developers, as well as movie and television props, retro and table top gaming, indie films, live music, collectible traders and a Saturday night party.
Other confirmed guests include Josh Herdman, who plays Gregory Goyle in Harry Potter, Star Wars’ Admiral Piett, played by Kenneth Colley and movie prop sculptor Brian Muir.

Day tickets are £15 for adults, £5 for under-12s and £10 for students.
