POLICE have renewed their efforts to try and reunite theft victims with their stolen items.
Overnight on April 22 a series of work vans were targeted in the Scarborough and Whitby areas of North Yorkshire as well as Bridlington further south.
A suspicious van was later stopped in Whitby that contained a large amount of power tools that were found to be stolen.
Most have now been identified from previously reported crimes, however there are a number of outstanding items that police believe are stolen, but may not have been reported.
The tools include an orange Black and Decker power saw and a black tool bag with yellow straps containing various items.
Tradesmen who had their vans broken into on or around the night of April 22 in North Yorkshire coastal areas are urged to contact North Yorkshire Police to see if their items were part of the stolen haul recovered by officers.
Five men from the West Yorkshire area were arrested in connection with the thefts and remain under investigation.
