Shaun Atkinson, from St Johns Avenue, Scarborough
POLICE have released the identity of a man who is believed to have been murdered just after Christmas.
Shaun Atkinson, 49, was found dead in a property on St Johns Avenue, Scarborough on December 27.
Police attended the property at about 6.25pm, where they found the man, but Mr Atkinson, who lived on St Johns Avenue, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
Two men have been charged with his murder.
Barry Rewcroft, 51, and Ruben Rewcroft, 20, a father and son from Scarborough, were arrested after the body was found.
They were questioned by police and charged on Wednesday, and appeared in court on Thursday.
