POLICE are appealing for information to trace a man who failed to attend court.
Andrew Robinson, aged 65, was due to appear at Newcastle Crown Court on Wednesday to be sentenced for a number of sexual offences.
He is described as a white male, 5ft 11ins, medium build, with grey hair and beard and sometimes wears glasses.
"He was last seen in York at 9.30am carrying a large green rucksack and is believed to now be in the Ravenscar/Whitby area of North Yorkshire," said a North Yorkshire Police spokeswoman.
"Anyone with any information about his whereabouts is asked to call North Yorkshire Police immediately via 101, select option 1 and speak to the Force Control Room. Please quote reference number NYP-09112016-0189."
