A HOUSEHOLDER had a slithery shock when an unwanted guest turned up in the garden.
Police were called to a house in Scarborough today – after the householders discovered a snake in their midst.
The albino corn snake had somehow crawled into the garden where it had then managed to get stuck.
Fortunately such snakes are not venomous and officers made sure the creature was safe before handing it over to the care of the RSPCA.
Now they are hoping to reunite a lost snake in Scarborough with its rightful owner – and anyone who is missing an albino corn snake in Scarborough is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101
