BRYAN Adams is set to play an open-air gig at one of the North's most popular seaside resorts.
The Grammy Award-winning Canadian singer-songwriter will play a one-off concert at Scarborough Open Air Theatre on Monday, August 8.
The 57-year-old rock musician is set to perform songs from his recently launched 13th studio album, Get Up, together with his hits, including Summer of 69, (Everything I Do) I Do It For You, Cuts Like a Knife and Run To You.
The venue, which was reopened by the Queen in 2010 following a £3.5m renovation, has capacity for 6,500 people.
Show promoter Peter Taylor said: “It is fantastic to be announcing that Bryan Adams is coming to Scarborough Open Air Theatre.
“He is without a doubt an international rock legend and to be able to secure an artist of his calibre for Scarborough and the wonderful open air theatre is huge.
“We are delighted we have been able to make this happen and we look forward to what is sure to be a fantastic night.”
Tickets for Bryan Adams are priced from £49.50 with seated and standing options.
Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday (April 1) from scarboroughopenairtheatre.com or ticketmaster.co.uk
