A MAN had to be airlifted to hospital on Monday evening after a fall on the coast at Whitby, North Yorkshire.
The ambulance service called in the coastguard helicopter due to the location the 59-year-old suffered the accident.
The call came in at 5.50pm and the man was flown to the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough.
