ONE of the stars of the TV hit Game of Thrones will be heading to the region in the spring.

Josephine Gillan will be among those taking part in the Sci-Fi Scarborough convention being held at the resort’s Spa Complex on April 9 and 10.

She has played Marei, a lady of negotiable affection in Lord Petyr Baelish’s establishment, from the second season onwards and will be appearing at the convention as part of their Throne Sunday line up.

“We are really ticking the boxes to our favourite TV shows and films this time.,” said co-organiser Steve Dickinson.

“Already we are covering Doctor Who, Babylon 5, Red Dwarf, Star Trek, Harry Potter and Game of Thrones with a few more surprises coming up. It’s really becoming Geek Nirvana in Scarborough.”

Fans can sign up to the convention’s new Comlink mailing list service to receive the latest updates, announcements, competitions and more by visiting scifiscarborough.co.uk.

Tickets are available from the same website or the Spa box office.
