EMERGENCY services were called to the A171 near Scaling Dam in North Yorkshire today.
This photo from a reader shows a burned out car down the bank.
It was reported that another vehicle was on its roof.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said it was called around 4pm and sent vehicles from Lythe and Whitby.
One vehicle was well alight on arrival, but the occupants had got themselves out.
Two people were treated at the scene by the ambulance service.
