A TEENAGE girl is fighting for her life after falling up to 200ft from a clifftop.
The 15-year-old fell from cliffs close to the 250-pitch Blue Dolphin touring and camping park, which borders The Cleveland Way, near Filey, at 7pm on Thursday.
Four Coastguard rescue teams and a lifeboat went to the north of Chimney Hole, near Filey, after being contacted by her father.
A Coastguard spokesman said it used its new Rescue 912 helicopter for the first time in the operation.
North Yorkshire Police said the girl suffered head injuries in the fall and was "in a critical, but stable condition" in Hull Royal Infirmary.
It remains unclear how the girl came to fall from the cliff.
The cliffs have been the scene of numerous incidents previously, including a six-year-old girl plunging 150ft in 2005 and escaping with bruises, and two years earlier 16-year-old Terri Ellwood fell to her death near the same caravan site.
