JEDI knights beware – the man who epitomised the Dark Side is heading for the region.
The man who originally brought Darth Vader to life, actor and bodybuilder Dave Prowse will be appearing in Scarborough next year.
He will be taking part in the now-annual Sci Fi Scarborough event on March 14 and 15 at the resort’s Spa Complex
Event co-organiser Steve Dickinson said: “If I was even to begin to imagine that the seven-year-old that saw Star Wars when it first came out could be involved in bringing these characters that I grew up loving to my home town, I wouldn’t have believed it.
“The fact that Darth Vader is more than happy to come to our beautiful seaside town for the whole weekend shows that we are on the right track for next year.”
