Three men were knocked unconscious in the fight at the Pier Inn on Pier Road, Whitby, which broke out at about 10pm on April 5.

And the man police want to trace is shown on the CCTV images wearing a blue, short-sleeved shirt with a white collar, white cuffs and white button seam on the front.

He is also seen talking with three other people at the bar, including two women and a man, then again as he leaves the pub following the fight and walks out onto Pier Road.

Officers are appealing to anyone who can help identify the man in the blue shirt to contact them.

A number of people became involved in the fight which culminated in three men being knocked to the floor where they lost consciousness. One of the injured men, a 49-year-old man from Sunderland received stitches to a head wound.

Two men, aged 31 and 53 and from Crook in County Durham, have been arrested in connection with the incident and released on police bail to allow for further enquiries.

Police have identified a number of witnesses who have come forward but still want to hear from anyone who was in the pub or on the street outside and who witnessed the fight or any disturbance on the street outside.
