A SPECIAL exhibition will celebrate the work of a group of Hambleton artists next week.

The Arts Society Hambleton is showcasing members’ work in a Spring ArtsFest at Rural Arts in Thirsk from April 10 to 14.

The exhibition is part of the Society’s programme to help celebrate 50-years of dedication to the fine and decorative arts.

It is also a unique opportunity to see some of the region’s hidden talent and features a diverse range of fine art and crafts by society members, some of whom have not exhibited before.

Arts Society Hambleton chairman, Helen Proudley from Sowerby, said: “This gives both the Society and Rural Arts, with whom we already have a working relationship, the opportunity to highlight new work and artists from the local area.

“We are delighted to be able to stage this exhibition as part of The Arts Society’s 50th anniversary.”

The exhibition includes paintings in a variety of media, prints, photography and crafts with more than 70 exhibits from 17 artists.

It will be open from 10am to 4pm.
