MORE streets have been named on Sowerby’s latest housing development - with the help three local teenagers.
Taylor Wimpey used street names from a competition held in 2016 when local school children were given the chance to suggest new street names using the theme of nature.
The response was so successful that some were held back ready to use for any future developments in the area.
And the names chosen for the second phase at the Sowerby Gateway scheme were Cherryoak Street - Jessica Blades, Apple Tree Road - Charlotte Smith and Woodland Way - Katie Harrison.
"With a number of large planning applications across the district, coming up with innovative names is a constant challenge," commented council leader Mark Robson.
