THE next phase of a development scheme bringing hundreds more houses to the Thirsk market is to launch soon.

Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire has announced that it will shortly be launching Phase Two of its Lime Gardens development off Topcliffe Road, Sowerby.

The scheme will bring 321 two- to four-bedroom homes to the area and Taylor Wimpey’s sales and marketing director, Debbie Whittingham, said she hopes it will be as popular with buyers as the first phase.

She added: “We really enjoyed being a part of the Thirsk community last year, making a number of donations to organisations including £500 towards the cost of new books at Sowerby Community Primary School and a further £500 for mobile wicket covers at Thirsk Cricket Club - we look forward to continuing this work into 2018.”

Potential first-time buyers will be able to take advantage of the Government-backed Help to Buy scheme, which allows properties to be secured with just a five per cent deposit.

The development is expected to be open by the end of this month.
