A CHARITY will be hosting a pictorial talk about a man whose wartime adventures arguably influenced the course of Russian history.
ABF The Soldiers’ Charity, in collaboration with Thirsk Racecourse, will host a talk on Colonel Leo Steveni MC OBE.
Steveni was a Russian-born British Army officer who served in the First and Second World Wars, working in Russia, Siberia, Persia and India.
The talk will be presented by Martin Vander Weyer, business editor of The Spectator, at the Hambleton Suite in Thirsk Racecourse on Thursday, October 19.
