AN exclusive launch of a new book by local TV vet Julian Norton, star of Channel 5’s series The Yorkshire Vet, is to be held in Thirsk.

The White Rose BookCafe will host the launch of his new book "A Yorkshire Vet Through the Seasons" on Saturday, September 9, from 11am to 1pm.

The stories depict his working life at the Skeldale veterinary practice in Thirsk, which was the inspiration behind author James Herriot’s ‘All Creatures Great and Small’.

Sue Lake, owner of the BookCafe, said: “After successfully launching Julian’s first book last summer, we are very excited that the publishers have given us exclusive rights to sell the fabulous new book 14 days before its official release.

"This is a great honour for a small independent bookshop.”

To pre order a signed copy contact White Rose Books on 01845 524353 or sales@whiterosebooks.co.uk.
