ALMOST 100 youngsters - boys and girls - took part in Thirsk Falcons fun day as part of the McDonald’s FA Community Football Day programme.
The football days provide opportunities for thousands of players and volunteers to get involved in local grassroots sport across the country.
And at Thirsk they also got the chance to take part in a range of supervised activities courtesy of Carlton Lodge Activity Centre including a 40 ft zip wire, climbing tree, archery and a lake rope walk.
Falcons chairman Wayne Sowden said ‘We had a great day. The weather was glorious and the feedback we’ve had has been brilliant.
"Parents have been commenting that the kids loved it. They haven’t stopped talking about it and it was action packed from start to finish."
