A CENTURIES-old inn is now fit for the future following a £1m refurbishment.
The Golden Fleece in Thirsk is set to reopen this Friday after 12-weeks of work that has completely transformed the tired interior.
The hotel, which dates back nearly 400-years, now boasts new eatery and coffee house concept and a new outside dining area complete with a pizza oven that will serve a selection of handmade pizzas throughout the week.
Hotel manager, Neil Doogan, said he is “delighted” with the end product.
“The aim of the work was to give this historic coaching inn a new lease of life, whilst maintaining its Georgian architecture,” he said.
