A GUN club is looking for new members to join its ranks.
Sutton and Thirlby Gun Club, based in Sutton-under-Whitestonecliffe, is looking for more people to take up the sport with it.
The group has one member aged 86 who has attended for 70 years, but it is also looking to attract some younger members to help continue the group in years to come.
Sam Dodds, from the gun club said: “We’re trying to get a few younger members joining again to carry on the club in future years.
“It’s all about having fun. We’re competing against each other for cups at the end of the season but at the end of the day we are there to improve our skills.
“We’re all there to help; there are people with different expertise, including one person who is training to become a shotgun instructor.”
The group does not hire out guns or cartridges, so members need to bring their own.
People considering joining the club - which meets once a week - can attend three sessions to try it out before paying membership. Anyone interested should contact Sam Dodds on 07528 042896.
