OFFICERS have talked a man down from a tree in a North Yorkshire village.
Several police vehicles converged on Kestrel Drive in Carlton Miniott, near Thirsk, on Thursday morning, and officers could be seen reasoning with the man who had scaled a tree to the rear of some houses.
A witness told The Northern Echo: "Police must have arrived about 7.15am.
"Not sure what was going on, but the next thing we knew there was a chap up a tree in the back garden of the house.
"He was up there for about half-an-hour before finally coming down."
The incident has now been resolved.
