EARLY bird tickets to a popular family-friendly festival are on sale until the end of the month as more attractions are announced.

Thirsk Picnic in the Park is returning for the twelfth year and boasts a packed line-up of entertainment including top Adele and Michael Jackson tribute acts.

Stars of the Channel 5 series ‘Yorkshire Vets’ Peter Wright and Julian Norton will also be getting involved in this year’s event.

They will join campaign group Action Medical Research’s lucky mascot Paddington Bear on his annual parade around the arena.

Each year, Picnic in the Park organisers Thirsk Action Group supports local good causes and the 2017 event will benefit The Community First Responder initiative.

The scheme is a life-saving partnership between Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust and local residents.

They are currently raising funds to buy four defibrillators for the Thirsk area and Thirsk Action Group are donating one.
