A SCHOOL’S support for a children’s charity got off to a stylish start when pupils staged their own sell-out fashion show.
Queen Mary’s, at Baldersby Park near Thirsk, has chosen Yorkshire-based Martin House Children’s Hospice as its annual charity and pupils created stunning outfits for the show which raised around £1,500.
Girls aged seven to 16 years were involved in the catwalk show – from modelling to assisting with hair and makeup, to the stage production.
Each of the school’s four houses was given one of the seasons as a theme, and the brief included using re-cycled clothes to create the collections.
