A BUILDER who fell onto scaffolding has been rescued by firefighters, paramedics and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
A spokeswoman for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the man was injured when he fell onto the scaffolding at the second floor level at a building in Boltby, near Thirsk, late on Wednesday morning.
She said paramedics had difficulty bringing the man down from the scaffolding, and so firefighters from Thirsk helped bring him safely to the ground before he was taken to hospital by an air ambulance helicopter.
