NORTH Yorkshire police say they are working with the Health and Safety Executive and forensic experts as part of an extensive investigation to try and find out how a devoted couple died .

As revealed in the Northern Echo yesterday Andrew and Jenny Robinson, both in their early 50’s were found at the bungalow they shared at Islebeck Farm, near Dalton, Thirsk on Wednesday February 1. Police entered the house after concerns were raised about the couple.

A spokesman said enquiries are ongoing into the deaths which include post mortem tests, the results of which will not be known for several weeks.

They added:” Searches have been carried out at the property including a forensic examination of the scene and further searches are due to be carried out in due course.

We have also worked with the Health and Safety Executive, who are compiling a report for our investigation. At this stage we are not in a position to release the confirmed identities of the deceased as formal identification tests are still being conducted. “

The deaths have shocked friends and neighbours in the area who said they were a devoted couple, who often socialised in the village, and who had lived at Islebeck, a turkey farm, for many years .
