A FESTIVAL for families which attracts up to 6,000 people for each of its three days has announced 1980s bands Teenage Fanclub and The Divine Comedy as among its headline acts for next year's event.
The bands, which have released more than 20 albums between them, will perform on the opening and closing nights of the Deer Shed Festival, which will be held at Baldersby Park, near Thirsk from July 21 to 23.
The festival's organisers said they wanted to provide a diverse range of artists, which would include
poet-rapper and 2014 Mercury Prize nominee Kate Tempest, West-African funk and disco group Ibibo Sound Machine, alongside Teleman, Hooton Tennis Club and BC Camplight.
