DEVELOPERS behind one of the housing schemes on the Sowerby Gateway development are set to stage a public consultation event about its blueprint for homes and a park.
Taylor Wimpey will reveal its plans for a second phase of homes at its Lime Gardens development on Wednesday, at Thirsk and Sowerby Town Hall, from 3pm to 7pm, where residents will have the chance to have their say on its design and layout.
Hambleton District Council has already given outline planning permission for more than 900 homes and the housebuilder will submit a detailed planning application to the authority in the coming months.
Debbie Whittingham, sales and marketing director at Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire, said: “Given how popular our existing development has been, we’re confident that our plans for the proposed new phase will benefit the local community.
“The design and details of 249 out of the planned homes has already been decided upon, so we’re now looking for the public’s views on the design and layout of the remaining properties.”
