A FIRE crew was called upon to release a toddler who had been accidentally locked inside a house.
The crew from Thirsk gained entry to the property at Alanbrooke Barracks shortly before midday on Sunday.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue tweeted: "Thirsk Fire Crew have safely reunited youngster who was locked in house with parents."
The spokesman added: "The two-year-old boy was locked in the house for a short period while the mother had gone into the garden.
"She had shut the door behind her and accidentally locked it - both parents were outside and the child was inside.
"Fire crews arrived quickly and removed a pane of glass to get back into the house and the parent and child were soon reunited."
