AN AWARD-WINNING pub in North Yorkshire has been included in the top ten “editor’s choice” discoveries in this year’s Good Hotel Guide.
The Carpenters Arms at Felixkirk, near Thirsk, has been included in the leading independent guide to hotels in Britain and Ireland after the ten-bedroomed village inn impressed the inspectors. The inspectors noted: “Outstanding; the bedrooms are stunning and well thought-out; the cooking highlighted with the freshest of ingredients.”
The inn is owned by the Provenance Inns group, which owns six pubs in North Yorkshire, along with the 25-bedroom West Park hotel in Harrogate. The locally-owned company is run by directors Michael Ibbotson and Chris Blundell and was awarded Pub Group of the Year 2015 by the Good Pub Guide, Britain’s best-selling travel guide.
The Carpenters Arms has won a number of awards and was voted as Yorkshire’s Favourite Pub by Welcome to Yorkshire.
