ANTIQUES expert David Harper valued dozens of collectables and family heirlooms at the relaunch of a decorating store.
The 46-year-old television presenter, who runs an antiques business in Barnard Castle, said an early 19th century wooden snuff box featuring a carved figurine was the star item brought to the event at Thirsk Decorating Centre, on Thirsk Industrial Estate.
The centre, which has traded since 1980, is extending its range of paints and has changed its name from Rydenor Paint and Wood Finishes.
