A TEENAGE boy has been charged with aggravated burglary after a person was threatened when a property was broken into.
North Yorkshire Police are appealing for information following the break-in on Cleveland Street in Great Ayton.
At about 6.45pm on Tuesday, February 20, two people entered a property, threatened the occupant and left with some cash.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested shortly after the incident and he has subsequently been charged with aggravated burglary.
Officers are now trying to trace the second offender, also believed to be a teenage boy. He is described as 5 ft 7in tall, of stocky build, wearing a woolly hat and scarf or balaclava, a shiny, black coat and dark trousers.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, is asked to contact police. Dial 101, press 2 and ask to speak to Northallerton Serious Crime Team.
