A HOMES developer has been surprising community groups and causes across the region with cash gifts in the run up to Christmas.
Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire has been delivering the cheques as part of its 12 Days of Taylor Wimpey Christmas Advent campaign.
Recent recipients of £100 each were the Globe Community Library in Stokesley and Thirsk Community Care.
Projects further afield to have benefitted include Footprints in the Community in Redcar and a Yarm primary school.
Thirsk Community Care is using the money to show its appreciation to all the volunteers who help vulnerable people in the Thirsk area.
Operational manager Jane Wilson said: “We’re thrilled to be gifted this surprise cash boost from Taylor Wimpey.
“It’s lovely to see such a large and well-known company give back to causes close to its developments-this money will make a nice difference by enabling us to provide a thank you event for volunteers.”
