A SCHOOL that shut for the day due to a heating failure is expected to reopen as normal tomorrow (Wednesday, December 19).
Parents were told at short notice that Stokesley Primary School had to close today (Tuesday, December 19) due to having no heating.
The latest update from headteacher Catherine Brooker is that engineers are working on the heating system this afternoon and the school is expected to be open as normal tomorrw.
Mrs Brooker urged parents to ignore rumours that the Christmas holidays had come early at the school.
She also advised parents to check the school's facebook page and website page for up to date information.
Some senior staff are at the school today to accomdate children whose parents struggled to find childcare at short notice, however parents were advised that the building would be very cold.
