FIVE hard-working ladies will unveil a hand-crafted tapestry to mark the 75th anniversary of their town’s Women’s Institute.
Stokesley WI is celebrating the milestone by unveiling a wall hanging, in the form of a quilt.
At the request of Stokesley Town Hall, where the WI have met since 1966, five members made a wall hanging, outlining some of the activities undertaken during its history.
President Ann Keene said: “Each square depicts something we have done now or in the past. This includes the Save The Bees campaign, how we tackle rubbish and the issue of wind turbines."
It will be presented to the town hall on December 7, the same night as the Christmas lights switch-on.
