A 19-YEAR-OLD man has died following a crash near a North Yorkshire town.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the fatal collision on the B1257 near Stokesley.
Police were contacted at 10.20am on Wednesday, October 25, by Yorkshire Ambulance Service regarding a fatal collision on the B1257 near Stokesley, between a white Mercedes box van and a blue Audi Quattro. Sadly a 19-year-old man died at the scene.
There have been numerous calls for road safety measures on the B1257 between Stokesley and Helmsley, where there have been a number of fatalities over the years.
Police are appealing for any witnesses who were travelling along the B1257 at the time of the incident who may have seen the two vehicles, captured dash-cam footage or witnessed the collision to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2 and ask to speak to Hamish Halloway.
