POLICE are appealing for witnesses to an alleged assault following an argument between two men outside a town centre bakery.
North Yorkshire Police say the altercation took place outside Cooplands Bakery on Stokesley High Street at 1pm on Monday, July 17.
The exchange continued as the two men walked down the High Street, towards the Natwest Bank.
According to police, one man then got into a parked black Mercedes car, when he was allegedly physically assaulted by the other man through the open car window.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the two men arguing or the alleged assault to contact them, so they can determine the full circumstances around the incident.
