POLICE investigating an incident which left a teenage boy with serious head injuries at a party have arrested two people.

Officers have issued a fresh appeal for information on the incident in which a 15-year-old boy was assaulted near Stokesley, North Yorkshire, on Friday evening. He was taken to hospital, and was said to be critical.

A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: "Detectives specifically want to hear from anyone who attended a party at an address in Swainby or who witnessed an altercation involving a group of young people aged approximately 14 to 15 years that evening.

"Two people have been arrested in connection with the incident and released released under investigation whilst enquiries continue."
