NEW mothers are being given help in getting their fitness back after giving birth with some new “Pramfit” sessions.
The free taster sessions have been organised by Hambleton District Council in Stokesley and use a variety of exercises to help women regain fitness, strength and shape after giving birth.
The Pramfit outdoor exercise classes are led by a qualified coach and allow women to exercise with their babies and pushchairs.
“This is a unique opportunity within Hambleton,” said Hambleton District Council’s health and wellbeing development officer David Earl.
“The fun and friendly sessions include elements aimed at regaining and promoting strength and flexibility in addition to walking in and around the park.
“There is no need to worry about childcare - prams and babies are a must!”
The free sessions are taking place on Monday, March 27 and Monday, April 3 from 1.45pm until 2.30pm at Stokesley Park, North Road, Stokesley. It is hoped that the sessions will continue after this time at £3 per session.
