TENS of thousands of fans turned out for a rapidly expanding food festival.
Malton Food Lovers Festival marked its tenth anniversary with a producers market featuring 175 stalls and several Michelin-starred chefs including Tommy Banks whose North Yorkshire restaurant at Oldstead was voted the best in the world.
Organisers said visitors were spoilt for choice with a huge range of food and drink on offer from pheasant goujons to handmade macaroons and speciality gins alongside cooking demonstrations, talks and tastings. Organiser Tom Naylor-Leyland added: "The turnout has been fantastic, our supporters phenomenal, and the crowds have been better than ever. It's fantastic in ten years we've gone from 35 stalls to 175."
