A RENOWNED delicatessen will be celebrating the completion of a £750,000 project this weekend.
Work has been carried out on both the exterior and interior of Thomas of Helmsley which now also incorporates the Thomas the Baker bakery.
A "grand opening" will take place all day on Saturday which will see demonstrations and samplings from celebrity chef Stephanie Moon.
Founder John Thomas said: "We hope it will be a big hit with both new and loyal customers. Not only will there be a difference in terms of appearance, but we’ll also be able to offer a much wider range of products, so it’s a positive for shoppers in the town too."
Thomas the Baker was established in 1981, with the opening of a bakery in Malton. It now stands at 30 shops across Yorkshire, with a head office in Helmsley.
