POLICE are appealing for witnesses after damage was caused to Dalby Forest in North Yorkshire.

On Monday (August 7), a vehicle was deliberately driven on to the grassed area of the forest near Pickering between 12.20am and 12.30am at Adderstone Field and damaged the ground. The forest is maintained by the UK Forestry Commission.

Police are now carrying out enquiries and asking for the public’s help in establishing the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

In particular, police are appealing for information about the vehicle that caused the damage.
