FOOD lovers are in for a treat as top chefs and a host of gastronomic attractions will entertain at an annual festival.

Back for the ninth year running, Malton Food Lovers Festival will welcome celebrity chef and British-Jamaican reggae musician, Levi Roots.

He will be joined by a line-up of culinary names including food writer and journalist, Prue Leith - the latest judge announced for the Great British Bake Off - and Yorkshire chefs including Great British Menu contestant, Stephanie Moon.

At the heart of the festival will be the popular producer market, boasting over 160 food and drink producers and street food stalls, all showcasing produce and wares from North Yorkshire and beyond.

The street food market will stay open late into the evening on Saturday where a night party and main stage with be headlined by Levi Roots and his reggae band.

The festival takes place over the May Bank Holiday Weekend, May 27 to 28 and is free, but visitors can buy tickets to attend demonstrations from celebrity chefs.
