A DVD detailing 150 years of the Ryedale Show has been created by a North Yorkshire farmer.
Paul Dunn, who farms at New Leas Farm near Helmsley, has created the DVD to mark last year’s 150th show. He secured sponsorship from local businesses to create the short documentary film, which includes interviews with judges, exhibitors and committee members as well as showing some of the special events held to mark the anniversary.
It was created with the help of Linda Allan, from Cumbria, who specialises in making agricultural DVDs and filmed on the day of the event, held just outside Kirkbymoorside.
Mr Dunn said: “I wanted to make this DVD because there won’t be another 150th show in our lifetime. I’ve been pleased with the response to it so far.”
The DVD is £12, plus £3 postage, and is available by ringing Mr Dunn on 01439-798239 on any day except Sundays.
