THE Godfather of Italian cuisine will be heading the line-up as a North Yorkshire town celebrates all that is culinary.

Antonio Carluccio will be leading the way in the cookery theatre at the Malton Game and Seafood Festival next month

He will give visitors an insight into the art of foraging, preparing wild mushroom ravioli in his live cookery demos.

The festival celebrates the quality game from the North York Moors and seafood from the coast, and as well as food stands features an array of live cookery demos, tutorials, talks and tastings.

As well Antonio Carluccio - who declared Malton as “Yorkshire’s Food Capital” back in 2011 - a number of other leading chefs from the region will be sharing some of their culinary magic.

Festival director Tom Naylor-Leyland, said: “We are honoured that Antonio Carluccio is returning to Malton showcasing his sensational cooking skills.”

The Malton Game and Seafood Festival, which also includes a bar and live music, is free to enter and takes place on September 10 from 9am to 5pm.
