EMERGENCY services were called to the scene of a second serious crash between a car and lorry on the A64 on Monday, just days after a head-on collision which took the lives of four people.
It happened at around 4.25pm and involved a heavy goods vehicle and a car.
It comes just three days after two men, aged 58 and 63, and two women, aged 57 and 60, were killed when their Suzuki car was involved in a head-on collision with a lorry near a sharp bend on the A64 at Scampston Bridge, outside Rillington, in Ryedale, North Yorkshire.
Witnesses to this latest collision are urged to contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 1, and speak to the Force Control Room.
