ONE of the country's top historic homes has gone Back to the Future to launch its movie theme fireworks display.
The DeLorean time machine made famous by the 1985 comic science fiction movie had Guy Fawkes, a Star Wars stormtrooper and a fire-glow juggler as passengers when it arrived at Castle Howard, in Ryedale, North Yorkshire.
The characters will all feature in the Kaboom event on Saturday, October 31, from 4.30pm, which is billed as "an explosive firework spectacular synchronized to a stirring medley of Bond theme tunes".
Event organiser Mark Brayshaw said: "With a movie theme visitors can expect the thrills, sights and sounds of big screen entertainment and the chance to get up close to some of their favourite film characters and movie memorabilia, including the DeLorean time machine."
