A GARDEN in North Yorkshire has been chosen from hundreds of others to appear on a national TV programme.
Scampston Walled Garden, near Malton, was picked by presenter of the BBC1 series Glorious Gardens from Above, Christine Walkden, to appear on the programme after she visited while carrying out research.
Travelling the length and breadth of the country via a hot air balloon, she was treated to a bird’s eye view of some of the country's best gardens and she said the Scampston garden particularly stood out.
"The gardens at Scampston have such a strong design element that when I was asked about which gardens in Yorkshire I would like to include in the series, they immediately sprang to mind," she said.
She and her team spent two days filming at Scampston Hall in August and the garden will be seen on the Yorkshire edition of the programme which is expected to be aired at 3.15pm on November 13.
