ICONS of British motoring are set to roar into Ripon Raceourse in the first Classic Car and Bike Show of the season.

The event on April 22 is one of the biggest in the UK motoring calendar and more than 500 historic vehicles are expected to take part.

Among the vehicles on display will restored MGs and Austin Sevens, as well as vintage motorcycles, historic vans, trucks and ex-military monsters.

The show also celebrates the UK’s annual ‘Drive It Day’, which encourages historic vehicle owners to get their treasures out of the garage.

Organiser Mark Woodward said; “Ripon is a real favourite with us as the days get warmer.

“My top tip is, don’t forget your camera- with all these classics gleaming in the spring sunshine, it’s a great chance to create some great family memories with unique photos right up close, or even sat behind the wheel.”

The event will also include vehicle parades, trade stalls and an auto jumble.
