MASHAM Players are hoping they can pull it off when they bring an award winning West End stage show to the town hall.
Their latest play "Daisy Pulls it Off" is being staged from March 22 to 24 at 7.30pm. The Denise Deegan play, which is being directed by Julie Prescott, is described as a classic girls' school story celebrating with "sly wit and a big heart" a more innocent era.
It tells the story of scholarship student Daisy, who after winning a place at Grangewood girls school, spends her first year battling against snobbish schemers, enduring jolly hockey matches and investigating rumours of hidden treasure. The play was a major West End hit and won the Olivier Award and Drama Theatre award for best comedy.
Director Julie Prescott said the show was full of hilarious characters and scrapes. Tickets, which are £8, and £7 for concessions, are on sale through the Masham community office. Call 01765-680200.
